Character Analaysis

So I chose to do the men in the play and...No one in this play is flat. Except maybe Berta but I think she might have some role in the whole schme of things too. Umph. So far I have George as a round and dynamic character pretty much because venthough it's not obvious he isn't as oblivious as he leads people to believe. He has a little bit of evil in him yet. IDK what quote best illustrates his roundness though.
Brack I put as a round dynamic also b/c he comes up from just a fling into so much more.
Lovborg I'm stuck on. Can he be dynamic if he's un-progressing[there is a better word but I don't know it;regression?] I mean he starts off good and with all thes facades of "I care about you Hedda"
"I care about what society thinks of be but yet I'm having an affair" and "I'm so over drinking". WTF this should be easier. I think I just made it a lot easier but I still feel as though<---(The Ms.Thomas voice in my head keeps me from saying "like")I'm lacking information. My essay seems dry and choppy.
Ugh!!

Do you really think that Bertha is the only flat character though? I actually think that Aunt Julie is also a rather flat character, because to me, she does not change throughout the play. Even though I believe that she does hide her true feelings about Hedda and her disliking her, that is true to her character. this is because in my eyes, she is a nice, sweet push-over and caregiver who would risk and do anything for the ones she loves (She attempts to accept Hedda because she believes that Hedda is important to Tesman). What do you think of her?

ok first of all you really shoulcl probably get of the whole Berta thing i mean she was used for a point or two but i don't believe she has much meaning but thats just my opinion, and as far as Lovborg is concerned i can really see what you mean by being unsure about the whole thing cause he is confusing i guess if i was doing him on the character analysis i would make him a dynamic character just because of vital he is to the entire play

I would argue that Løvburg isn't a particularly round character, at least in the contents of the play itself. All of his character changes are implied, and now I'm forgetting the term for action that takes place outside of the play. But anyway, within the play he remains loyal and loving to Thea, without any major changes.

i agree with what you have to say here but i think aunt julie is pretty flat like someone said. she stays the same throught the whole play. she's the same simple old lady that she always had been. she was a prett flat/static character who was just there and who didn't really do a lot, while still being involved in the action.

Okay Steven/Stephen (I know which one it is I just don't feel like backspacing)
By saying Berta is unimportant you're saying that The Maid in the House of Bernarda Alba was unimportant eventhough she stood for the corruptness of the human social system even on its simplest level.
You're also saying that Daisy'd daught (whose name I can't remember) in the Great Gasby is also pointless. IDK I think Berta has a hidden purpose. Maybe she is the only uncorrupted one.
